We are excited to see all of you and celebrate our marriage! The date is coming quick, and we wanted to clarify some details for you all. We originally planned to have a private ceremony on the lake and have all our family and friends celebrate with us during a long reception afterwards. For anyone who isn’t familiar with the Tahoe/Reno area, the ceremony is an hour drive from the reception in Reno. The airport, hotel, and reception are all within 10 minutes of each other for the convenience of travel. We are so grateful to the Hickman’s for hosting our ceremony in beautiful Lake Tahoe, in their backyard. That being said, the lake level is nice and high this year making no beach. The location does not have accommodations for a large group and it will be a quick ceremony without chairs for the guests. There is no parking, and we do not expect anyone to rent cars or pay the fees associated with transportation from Reno and back. However, if you want to be present and have the means to drive back and forth, we welcome your presence! The invitation to witness our vows is open to everyone we love, we definitely don’t want to exclude anyone from the option of coming to Tahoe, but those are the circumstances, it will be standing room only on the backyard lawn. The reception is in Kiara’s grandparent’s backyard where we will have live music from Proxima Parada! There will be parking available in the dead end culdesac and it is a quick Uber from the Peppermill. We look forward to seeing you soon!
